Why Teach ?

Since I was very young, I've always wanted to be a teacher. I did not have very many pleasant experiences with my teachers growing up, and still, find myself having a few bad ones in college. Perhaps it is fair to say that they are the ones to push me to be a better teacher for the students of the future. My Nana was a classroom aid at a special needs school (SEN) for a decade and my late Grandfather was a vocational adjustment coordinator (he helped disabled and special needs students at his school find careers that were best suited for them) who started as a special education teacher. I am a student with a few learning disabilities that have made it rather challenging to get through my academic career due to not only parents who are unaccepting or understanding, and teachers who did not care to help me.  I want to be a teacher because I want to be someone who will be there to help her students in any way that I can.
